Pastoral Counseling

a form of counseling or psychotherapy in which insights and principles derived from theology and the behavioral sciences are used to help individuals, couples, families, and groups achieve healing and growth.

The Purpose of Pastoral Counseling...

  • talking with individuals, couples, and families to increase their understanding of emotional and religious conflicts and to help resolve problems using religious and other resources.
  • seeks to help people respond to God's direction as taught in the Bible in the areas of lifestyle, love relationships, and serving others.
  • help you work through problems and pursue a biblical perspective for resolving them.
  • committed to listening and applying God's love, grace, and guidance to help you experience spiritual growth and change.

Pastoral Counselor do not offer clinical counseling and cannot make clinical diagnoses.  Pastoral Counselor is not a therapist. But that doesn't opt out of helping folks with their personal troubles.
